Slab Leak Detection & Repair
A slab leak occurs in copper water lines beneath your concrete foundation. When leaks happen above ground—in walls or ceilings—they’re called pinhole leaks. Left unchecked, these leaks can cause serious damage.
Warning Signs
- Sound of running water when fixtures are off
- Unexplained high water bills
- Heat radiating from the floor
- Wet floorboards or carpet
- Water pooling under water heaters
- Mold under flooring
- Low water pressure in sinks or showers
Common Causes
- Improper Construction: Kinked or bent pipes installed incorrectly.
- Outside Pressure: Soil shifts from erosion, underground streams, or storms.
- Poor Water Chemistry: Acidic or alkaline water corroding pipes.
- Abrasion: Pipes rubbing against concrete or gravel.
- Age & Wear: Corrosion over time in older pipes.
Our Repair Process
- Locate Leak: Trace the leak from the manifold sleeve at the slab base.
- Isolate & Cap: Cut and cap the damaged loop to stop water flow.
- Quote: Provide a firm estimate for repiping.
- Repipe: Replace the damaged section with new copper piping.
Timeline
Day 1: Leak detection, cutting, and capping.
Day 2: Repipe the capped area with an economical solution.
